Winter clothing in Finland

Winter clothing in Finland
The Youth Centre in Marttinen is regularly visited by individual customers and groups from Southern Europe or outside Europe, and in that case the winter clothing at the starting point is not the same as in Virrat or in Finland. We want to help all our customers with tips to have a successful experience on their trip to us, so our ESC volunteers (ESC = European Solidarity Corps) Lada and Martin made a video about Finnish winter clothing to help those planning a camp or a trip to Marttien.

You can watch the video on Marttinen’ s YouTube channel, where you can choose the subtitles in Finnish or English. The spoken language of the video is English.

Ireland outrech study visit gathered a group of Outreach youth workers from Pirkanmaa region
Ireland outrech study visit gathered a group of Outreach youth workers from Pirkanmaa region. They got to see how outhreach youth work is done in Dublin and in more rural setting in Tipperary. During the study visit the group got to know about challenges in youth work in Ireland, but also about funding of youth work and about impact of youth work. Participants were espcially impressed about the overall community spirit and volunteer work for common good. Also professional development and learning were identified as outcomes from the vstudyvisit. The study visit was arranged by Marttinen Youth Centre and funded from Erasmus+ program.

Check out Marttinen’ s YouTube channel what their study trip was like in Ireland.
