Youth Centre Marttinen’s Vihta Sauna was awarded a quality label by Sauna from Finland ry
December 2019 Sauna from Finland ry has awarded Youth Centre Marttinen's Vihta Sauna the Authentic Finnish Sauna Experience certificate in recognition of the fact that their sauna faithfully abides by all the core values of the Finnish sauna: authenticity, engagement of multiple sense, presence, relaxation, cleanliness and well-being before, during and after sauna bathing.

Youth centers are non-profit organizations, whose possible profit goes for the benefit of youngsters and with the profits we are able to arrange many different kinds of activities and camps for them. Youth centres offer spaces and accommodations for big events that include over a hundred people.

Marttinen – Youth centre and camp rich in experiences
Marttinen is one of the youth centres funded and overseen by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture. Our diverse youth centre is situated in beautiful scenery in Virrat, Central Finland. Marttinen is 100 km from both Tampere and Seinäjoki, 115 km from Jyväskylä and just 270 km from Helsinki.

Marttinen is a pleasant and safe environment for camps, courses, training and other events the year round.

The historic milieu at Youth Centre Marttinen is home to both modern facilities for hosting larger
camps, seminars, conferences and training events as well as esteemed and picturesque venues for weddings and other important days.

We also provide hotel and log cabin accommodation for up to nearly 200 guests, and our catering kitchen offers professional menus for both conferences and parties.

"A memorable moment was when we organized a children’s field trip to a farm. We were just leaving and children were already in the bus, as we noticed they had lured a goat inside the vehicle. There we were, with a French guy trying to get the goat out from the bus; the French guy was pushing and I was pulling and steering the goat out." - EVS volunteer
